After an extremely successful inaugural BioForum conference in 2007, the AusBiotech Victorian Branch is pleased to invite you to participate in BioForum08.
BioForum08 will again bring together members from AusBiotech and the Victorian biotech community who are passionate about the future and wellbeing of our biotechnology sector. BioForum08 will provide the opportunity to get together with colleagues and other key biotechnology stakeholders including innovators, service providers, capital investors, and Government representatives.
AusBiotech believes that through continued formation of relationships between the biotechnology sector and other key stakeholders and potential partners, we will be able to drive growth and continue to strengthen this key industry sector. The biotechnology sector will play an increasingly important role in the quality of life of all Australians as the population ages in terms of sustainable growth, funding, regulatory and government policy.
The Victorian and Australian biotechnology sectors have grown rapidly over the past decade. Our biotechnology R&D is world class, leading to much sought after IP. The world is starting to sit up and take notice of what is happening in our biotechnology sector. But how do we maintain this momentum? How do we consolidate and build upon today’s foundations to ensure the sustainability and success of our biotechnology industry tomorrow and in the decades to come?
BioForum08 will expand upon the strong foundation built by BioForum07 which attracted over 100 delegates including senior management from biotechnology companies and key / senior personnel from the funding sector, AgBio sector, medical devices and diagnostics sector and various government agencies (TGA, DIIRD, OGTR, etc). AusBiotech Victoria will utilise its knowledge, expertise and networks to ensure the delivery of another first class BioForum conference that considers and discusses the key issues on the horizon for the Victorian and Australian biotechnology sectors.
The theme of BioForum08 is "Biotechnology means Business", with the program examining the business environment of the local industry as it moves forward and focusing on the key stakeholders within the Biotechnology Industry and their interaction with each other, in endeavoring to determine what Victorian and Australian Biotechnology now requires to improve and enhance business success.
Treat yourself to the truly unique Victorian biotechnology experience that BioForum08 represents and add your voice to the key discussions about the challenges and issues facing our biotechnology sector.
